Montreal, Quebec, October 2, 2007 – LMS Medical Systems Inc.,, a healthcare technology company and developer of the CALM® patient safety tools for obstetrics, today announced the general availability of the latest release of its clinical information system, CALM 3.08.
Designed with patient safety in mind, CALM 3.08 includes enhanced components to streamline charting and reporting, thus reducing administrative tasks to allow clinicians more time at the bedside with laboring mothers.

LMS’ CALM software combines advanced surveillance, archival, and maternal-fetal charting with unique risk management tools enabling personalized labor monitoring, fetal heart rate pattern recognition, and prenatal assessment of the risk of shoulder dystocia with injury. Used in hospitals throughout North America, CALM modules can also be purchased by physician clinics as well as insurers who offer risk prevention solutions.
