New addition to Product Management team

“We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Greer to the LMS team in the role of Product Manager. The combination of her extensive hands-on perinatal care and practical Information Systems (IS) industry experience will be paramount in furthering our goals and meeting our vision,” said Diane Côté, President and CEO, LMS.

Mrs. Greer obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Clemson University, SC and began her career on the nursing floor in labor and delivery. Starting as a staff nurse and working her way into hospital management, Mrs. Greer took on her first Director position in 1993 at the hospital known today as Catawba Regional Medical Center, in Hickory, NC. As Director of Maternal Child Services, her mandate included the supervision of the labor and delivery program and services, normal newborn and Level II NICU care, as well as the pediatrics department. In 1999, she went on to Bay Medical Center in Florida to accept the position of Director, Women’s and Infant’s Services and soon after became a member of their Executive team. Here she was responsible for managing a large team, newborn deliveries and a level 1 nursery.

In her various roles, Mrs. Greer’s commitment to maternal and fetal health has yielded a long list of accomplishments, from the creation of several new maternal-child programs to extensive involvement in process improvement and risk analysis and reduction. She has also become an accomplished speaker, trainer and sales person.

In recent years, Mrs. Greer put her experience and knowledge to use by working towards workflow efficiency, risk management and decision support tools in an IS vendor setting. Before joining LMS she was responsible for clinical engineering support for product development of Perinatal and Critical Care equipment at Spacelabs Medical, a patient monitoring equipment maker.

Equipped with a vision and a wealth of experience, Mrs. Greer decided to join LMS to further her interest in developing perinatal IS systems. In her own words: “I am most excited to be a part of a company pursuing the vision of improving outcomes for mothers and newborns by providing decision support to aide practitioners in providing optimal care for their patients.”

Mrs. Greer joined LMS’ Product Management Team in January 2005.
