  • Harry G. Hohn - Chairman
    Mr. Hohn spent four decades at New York Life Insurance Company having retired as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the company in 1997. During his watch New York Life grew to $120 billion in assets and $25 billion in revenue. Born in New York City, Mr. Hohn holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University, a Doctor of Law degree from Forham University School of Law, where he was editor of the Fordham Law Review, and a Master of Laws degree from New York University Graduate School of Law. Mr. Hohn has served, amongst others, as Chairman of the Board of the American Council of Life Insurance, the Life Insurance Council of New York, the National AIDS Foundation and The Foundation for Independent Higher Education and the International Center for the Disabled.
  • Dr. Marilyn Sue Bogner
    Dr. Bogner is President and Chief Scientist with the Institute for the Study of Human Error. A psychologist specializing in human factors and medical error, she has advised the U.S. Military, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and the FDA. She has contributed to over 35 books or commissioned reports on human error in medicine. Her working in identifying serious and persistent human factors and bringing collaborations to address these issues has garnered international recognition as well as several prestigious national achievement awards. She is on the editorial board of several major peer reviewed journals for medical, biomedical engineering, and behavioral sciences.
  • Dr. Thomas J. Garite
    Dr. Garite is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Irvine. He is Editor in Chief of the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His research interests have focused largely on intrapartum fetal monitoring and premature delivery. Dr. Garite has published over 120 articles and chapters and 3 books. He is a past-president of the Society of Perinatal Obstetricians, and a member of the Society of Gynecologic Investigation, as well as numerous other distinguished societies.
  • Catherine Rommal
    In 2002, Ms. Rommal was awarded the Greatest Contributions to the Field of Healthcare Risk Management for Lifetime Achievement Award from the Southern California Association for Healthcare Risk Management (SCAHRM). She is a consultant and principal of Perinatal Risk Consulting. Her nursing career extended over various positions in perinatal care at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, California. Subsequently, she assumed responsibility for risk management education and product development for Farmers Insurance Group’s Healthcare Professional Liability Division. She has served on the editorial boards of OB/GYN Malpractice Prevention Newsletter and the Journal of Perinatology. She served on the ACOG/AWHONN task force that developed the original Nursing Practice Competencies and Educational Guidelines for Antepartum and Intrapartum Fetal Heart Monitoring. She has published and lectured extensively on electronic fetal monitoring and risk management issues in perinatal care. She is currently President of SCAHRM.
