Montreal, Quebec, April 30, 2008 – LMS Medical Systems (AMEX:LMZ; TSX:LMZ), a
healthcare technology company and developer of the CALM patient safety software system for
obstetrics is pleased to announce receiving a score of 88.8 in the KLAS 2008 Labor and Delivery
report, read by the healthcare IT industry. LMS met the criteria to be included in the early data
section of the report and is pleased to have received the highest performance score among all
applications included in the report.
The prestigious and independent analysis of healthcare software by KLAS featured an extensive report on Labor and Delivery (L&D) solutions in March 2008. Key evaluation criteria included the integration with hospital wide information systems, the range of functionality most important to health care providers, and client satisfaction with vendor software offerings and support services.
“Our main objective with the CALM software has been to improve the safety of childbirth for mothers and their infants. We have done this first by developing advanced risk assessment tools, second by imbedding these tools in software that is practical and easy to use for clinicians who take care of patients and third, by offering stellar service and training,” says Dr. Emily Hamilton, founder and Vice President Medical Research. “We are thrilled that our customers are recognizing this and rewarding us with this performance scoring in the industry’s most important and comprehensive evaluations.”
The report is available through KLAS.
